The Accounting Clerk will mainly be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary position based in the Moreno Valley, California area.What you get to do every single day- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes- Circulate financial information to journals and ledgersJob Requirements:- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required- Billing experience- Asset Inventory experience preferred- Payroll experience required- Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)- Asset Inventory experience highly desired- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggestedAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
