Associate's degree and/or equivalent related field certifications or experience.
A minimum of four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in the technical support field.
Must possess a valid and appropriate California Driver's License and maintain possession of such license during the course of employment and be insurable at current market values.

Under the supervision of the Network Services Manager and/or Designee, the Network Engineer I is responsible for assisting with maintaining an operational networked computer user environment and providing user access to software and services.
Examples Of Duties:
Assists with providing guidance and direction on overall district technology operation and procedures.
Assists with managing and maintaining technology services such as systems operation management, network infrastructure, virtual infrastructure, servers, telecommunication and security systems.
Assists with configuring and insuring operability of district equipment such as computer workstations, printers and additional technology devices.
Assists with installing software components on workstations and servers.
Assists with managing user accounts and appropriate permissions.
Assists with providing advanced customer support and handling escalated issues.
Assists with analyzing requirements and designing solutions to meet user needs.
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Abilities:
Computer workstation and network operating systems including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server 2012, Windows 10, macOS 10.x and Chrome OS
Network management tools such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Active Directory and Google Admin Console
Computer productivity applications such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office 2016 TCP/IP protocols and Internet addresses
Server maintenance, backup and disaster recovery procedures
Basic familiarity of virtual server and desktop environments
Computer hardware, printers, portable devices, telecommunication equipment
Configure hardware and install operating systems and application software
Maintain basic local area networks Troubleshoot and correct technology problems
Work effectively within a team and under supervision
Effectively communicate in both oral and written form
Establish and maintain effective work relationships
