Construction ManagerA Large Real Estate Developer is currently seeking a Construction Manager for large industrial projects throughout Southern California. We are one of the largest privately-owned real estate developers in the nation. This position will be located in our Moreno Valley, CA office.The Construction Project Manager responsibilities include management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget, review and organization of project documents, management of project schedule and budget, infrastructure & site development support, agency regulations & requirements, project reports--permit processing, and overall project support.To be successful, you will have 7+ years of experience working in the real estate development and/or industrial/warehouse construction including tenant work. To be successful, your development experience should include most or all the following:* Primary responsibility for a project's management and success.* Coordinate activities and work with the Vice President of Construction and other team members to develop project plans and the execution.* Ensure clear lines of communications are maintain and all team members are kept informed.* Prepare and issue RFPs for project consultants and contractors.* Develop and maintenance of project budgets and costs.--Ensure the project team is aware of the budget status and potential issues.* Develop and update project schedules.--Ensure the project team is aware of any deadline and upcoming activities.* Coordinate the work of contractors and consultants working on various phases of the project.* Oversee the performance of all contractors and project consultants. * Reviews architectural and engineering drawings for compliance with the project's requirements.* Responsible for the proper administration of construction contracts and obtaining all necessary permits.* Review, negotiate, and finalize change orders.* Supervise assistant managers and project engineers, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, or other reported deficiencies.* Report to the owners and architects about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated, including negotiation of change orders.* Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and problem solving.* Develop, create, and review contracts and change orders.* Analyze and manage risk.* Coordinate and interact with VPs/PMs/and administrative staff.* Thriving in a fast-paced team environment with a passion for growth* Hard skills should include MS Word, Excel with MS Project.
