The Opportunity

• 12.5 month program designed to train PA's utilizing didactic and clinical experience
• 2100 Clinical hours in acute EM care as well as weekly lecture time
• Core Emergency Department time will be 10 months (40 weeks)
• Off service rotations include Internal Medicine, ICU, Bedside POCUS Ultrasound Course, and Specialty rotation tracks
• Fellows will attend the Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course (ATLS) at RUHS
• In addition to core EM content, focused training will include clinical efficiency, documentation, billing, scribe utilization, and patient throughput
• This is a paid fellowship with benefits and malpractice insurance included Required Experience and Competencies
  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
  • PAs must be NCCPA certified by the start of the program. NPs must be certified by either ANCC or AANP by the start of the program.
  • Eligible for and/or possess current CA Medical Board Physician Assistant licensure (must be fully licensed by the state of the program)
  • Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure (must be fully licensed by the start of the program)
  • Current certification in ACLS, PALSand BLS
  • Previous EMS/ED work experience is highly desirable but not required Application Process & Timeline for Spring Cohort
