Job Description:
Build the Hiring Engine Behind One of the Top 5 Amazon Sellers
in the US Role: Talent Acquisition Manager Location: San Diego, CA
92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers) Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000
DOE Luminize isn't your typical eCommerce company. We're one of the
top 5 Amazon sellers in the US — and we're scaling fast. To do that
right, we need someone who can own the entire talent acquisition
function and build a hiring machine that keeps pace with aggressive
growth. We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager who operates
like a builder, not a backfiller — someone who translates growth
goals into proactive hiring plans, creates scalable recruiting
systems, and gives leadership clear visibility into performance,
risks, and opportunities. You'll own the full employee lifecycle
from workforce planning through onboarding and offboarding, and
you'll have the decision-making authority to move fast and get it
right. If you're a TA leader who wants full ownership of the
function, a direct line to leadership, and the chance to build
something from the ground up — let's talk. What You'll Own
Workforce planning and hiring strategy — partnering with leadership
quarterly to forecast headcount needs and build proactive hiring
roadmaps aligned to revenue and operational targets Full-cycle
recruiting execution across inbound, outbound, referrals, and
external partners — from sourcing through offer acceptance Offers,
compensation, and hiring governance — composing offer letters,
negotiating within approved bands, and maintaining compensation
discipline and compliance The Talent Acquisition team — managing
your Coordinator and Operations Assistant, plus coordinating hiring
managers and external recruiters The ATS end-to-end — workflow
design, data accuracy, pipeline visibility, reporting integrity,
and hiring process standardization Onboarding and offboarding
oversight — ensuring new hires are set up for success on Day 1 and
exit processes are clean and compliant Hiring analytics and
executive reporting — delivering monthly dashboards covering
time-to-hire, pipeline conversion, source effectiveness, attrition
trends, and new hire retention Vendor and partner management —
serving as primary liaison with HR partners, managing background
checks, and ensuring external recruiter performance and ROI ? What
You Bring 5 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition,
or a similar HR function — with proven success in full-cycle
recruiting and process improvement Bachelor's degree in Human
Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or
related field preferred Hands-on experience managing requisitions
in common ATS platforms and building scalable hiring workflows
Advanced proficiency with sourcing tools including LinkedIn, social
media, and outbound strategies Experience with data visualization
and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) preferred Deep
understanding of federal and state hiring and employment laws (EEO,
ADA, FLSA, OSHA) The ability to conduct high-level conversations
with hiring managers, business leaders, and executives about talent
strategy Prior supervisory experience managing TA support staff A
systems thinker — you build repeatable processes, track what
matters, and continuously improve You'll be based in Symphony
Towers, one of San Diego's premier office spaces that offers:
Stunning views of the city and coastline Free access to the
building gym Discounts at restaurants and cafes in the tower Secure
bike racks in the building and 24/7 paid parking in a nearby
downtown structure Close walking distance to 100 of the top bars,
restaurants, and coffee shops Our office is designed for comfort,
productivity, and collaboration, featuring: Ergonomic standing
desks and high-quality workstations A fully stocked snack bar,
espresso machine, and cold drinks A welcoming team lounge area and
sunny workspaces A clean, modern space where we can do our best
work together Benefits & Perks Our people are our 1 priority. Our
benefits include: Multiple medical plan options through Anthem Blue
Cross Dental & vision insurance (including orthodontia and annual
exams) Pet benefit program with savings on vet care, products, and
services Paid vacation (accruing up to 120 hours/year with rollover
and cap) Paid holidays annually Coverage for spouses/domestic
partners and dependents under 26 Benefits begin on the first of the
month after your hire date Why Luminize You won't be inheriting a
bloated process and maintaining it. You'll be building the talent
acquisition function that scales with a fast-growing company — with
real authority, direct leadership access, and the autonomy to make
decisions and drive outcomes. At Luminize, we offer clear career
paths, promote from within, and invest in the people who drive
results. You'll have cross-functional influence, executive
visibility, and the trust to run your function independently.
You'll also benefit from: A leadership culture rooted in
accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Cross-functional exposure across brand management, engineering,
supply chain, advertising, and operations Learning resources,
including Udemy course access and additional training programs A
team that moves fast, celebrates wins, and holds itself to a higher
