Job Description Responsible for ensuring product meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required. May be required to do other duties as requested by supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Audits and inspects various processes, parts, assemblies and finished bodies using established Quality Assurance procedures. - Assure top level quality is given to each and every truck body that is produced. - Communicate and work with all levels of the organization regarding the quality of our product. - Read and understand English to determine that all specifications are met. - Observe assembly and quality assurance process to trace cause of production defects and confers with production quality assurance workers, supervisors, and engineering personnel to resolve problems. - Maintain records and logs, customer relations. - Daily department inspections. - Move vehicles of varying sizes throughout the property. - Takes pictures & uses computers to track & electronically move units throughout our system. - Performs all activities in a safe and efficient manner - Works as part of a team to ensure quality; interacts with other departments to troubleshoot, some customer communication PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Requirements Education Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience: - Practical knowledge of tools and machinery involved in manufacturing process. - Computer skills, organization skills, communication skills, employee supervision. - Read and understand prints, schematics, work orders and product specifications. - Working knowledge of the product, assembly process, and procedure. WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a professional office environment in which presenteeism is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Strict adherence to Corporate and/or Plant policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites.The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
