Work with chains to onboard them with Sysco's specialty food offerings.Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities:Partner with market leaders to identify and qualify emerging chain targetsWork with Sysco business development teams to close sales of specialty and import products within the emerging chain business.Serve as a liaison between the European Import inside sales support and emerging chain team.Coordinate with European Imports merchandising team for sourcing and onboarding specific products for the emerging chain business.Close emerging account sales when the business development teams introduce opportunities.Maintain a personal prospect list of emerging chain accounts agreed upon with both market leadership and European Imports leadership.Maintain a Performance Worksheet which details strategies and tasks to be implemented on a weekly basis to close on the accounts mentioned in #1, #2, #4 and #5 above.Evaluate new item opportunities (line extension and new vendors) with European Imports category specialists. Recommend sourcing products that make sense for the organizationPrepare and present presentations and proposals as needed.Work with Merchandising to acquire appropriate deals and pricing for potential customers.Provide updates to Senior Sales Management on progress.Adhere to all applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), personal hygiene, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies and procedures as described in the European Imports - Sysco Food Safety Training ManualPerform other duties as needed.Competencies:To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies:Communication: Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts preferred.Minimum Experience:7 - 10 years of prior foodservice sales experience.
