Job Description:
OUR SALARIES AND PER DIEM RATES HAVE INCREASED The County of
Riverside's Diagnostic Imaging Department at Riverside University
Health System's Medical Center seeks Radiologic Technologists to
join our team. This Job Posting will serve to fill regular
full-time and per-diem vacancies. The level filled will depend on
qualifications. Applicants may specify their shift preferences in
the application. Meet the team Provides diagnostic services to
patients to produce images; prepares, positions and transfers
patients; Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient
basis. Operates equipment as directed; provides patient protection
in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Assists physicians
in the administering of contrast media; assures the technical
quality and the proper functioning of equipment within designated
areas. Maintains adequate records; maintains orderliness and
cleanliness of all work areas; secures and returns supplies.
Instructs students and ancillary personnel; assists in the use of a
variety of equipment or procedures. Assists in the development of
technical factors; records patient information;. Maintains an
effective work relationship with patients, visitors, departmental
and hospital staff. RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST I: Experience: None
required. RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST II: Experience: One year of
radiologic technology experience comparable to an acute care
facility. OR Six months experience as a Radiologic Technologist I
with the County of Riverside. RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST I & II:
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid license to practice as a
Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of California.
Possession of a valid fluoroscopy permit as issued by the
California State Department of Health Services. Possession of valid
Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates issued by the American Heart
Association. Per Diem Benefits and Rates: - Additional compensation
in lieu of County fringe benefits - Flexible work schedule -
Holiday Premium Pay (12-14 days a year) - 3 Paid Sick Days -
Eligible for medical benefits - Teaching Hospital & Level 2 Trauma
Center - 401(a) plan, contributing 3.75% of salary to the pension
plan - Eligible for education reimbursement/discount Per Diem
personnel are distinguished from regular employees in that they
receive additional compensation in lieu of County fringe benefits.
Positions in this class will perform the duties specified in the
Radiologic Specialist II in a Per Diem capacity. The following are
the Per Diem Rates for this position: Per Diem Radiologic
Technologist I: $43.3567 Per Diem Radiologic Technologist II:
$47.5764 Condition of Employment In accordance with the California
Department of Public Health Order dated August 5, 2021, health care
facility workers who work in indoor settings where care is provided
to patients or where patients have access for any purpose must be
vaccinated against COVID-19 as follows: first dose of a one-dose
regimen or second dose of a two-dose regimen, by September 30,
2021. Consideration may be given to candidates who are in the
process of completing their vaccination regimen. The Order allows
for workers to be exempt from the vaccination requirements by
providing the facility with a declination form signed by the
individual stating either of the following: (1) the worker is
declining vaccination based on Religious Beliefs; or (2) the worker
is excused from receiving any COVID-19 vaccine due to Qualifying
Medical Reasons. Workers who are exempted from the vaccination
requirements must observe all other infection control requirements,
including face coverings and regular COVID testing at the frequency
required by their work site. A requirement of employment is to
provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or a completed COVID-19
Vaccination Declination form (filled out by the candidate and their
medical provider as appropriate), during the pre-employment
process. Failure to submit the required documentation may render a
candidate ineligible to move forward in the process. Veterans
